Antje Buschschulte is one of the most successful German swimmers of the 1990s and 2000s. At the age of 17, this exceptional athlete moved from the club SG Hamburg to SC Magdeburg, where she attended the high school for sports and joined her long-time coach Bernd Henneberg. She won more than 50 international medals at Olympic Games, World Championships, and European Championships. Antje Buschschulte is the only German swimmer to have competed in every major international competition (European Championships, World Championships, Olympic Games) each year between 1995 and 2008 for 14 consecutive years.
